The perpetrator of a massacre of three women, was able to buy his firearms from an online store, without having to go through any kind of background check or any type of records check whatsoever. Radcliffe Haughton, killed and shot three women at a health spa in Brookfield, Milaukee. One of the victims was his wife Zina Haughton. The shooter was able to purchase his firearm just days after he was ordered by a judge during a ruling to surrender all guns in his possesion.
The website where Radscliffe bought the guns did not have any checks and sells different kinds of firearms with no questions asked. Purchasing of firearms online is one of the loopholes the government has yet to address in its effort to get firearms out of the wrong hands. Among these is the gun show loophole, wherein buyers can purchase a gun at any gun show without ever going through a criminal background check. With these loopholes, hundreds of firearms end up in the hands of criminal, felons and the mentaly unstable.
There is an imminent concern among gun control lobbyist about these problems, and so far only a few states have actually done anything about it. In most cases it takes a tragedy or a brutal event to make the government ever do anything about the problem. Similar to what happened to the Aurora Batman Massacre, Virginia Tech Shooting, and other such tragic events.
